I got it sorted out. You will need the following programs/files. - WuM (Wii Update Manager) *Google it. It is easy to find* - A raw dump of 3.1J_V2/3.1U_V2 (Depends on which region your Wii is from) 1) Place the raw dump of 3.1J_V2/3.1U_V2 in a folder call 'dumps'. The folder is created when you first launch WuM. 2) Open up the UNMODIFIED ISO of Mario Kart Wii with WuM. 3) Click 'READ INFOS'.

4) Click 'ANALYZE RISK'. It will probably tell you that you need to brickblock it because its from a different region. 5) Under 'Replace with'.

Select your region's update. Either 3.1J_V2 or 3.1U_V2.

6) Click 'REPLACE'. *DO NOT BRICK BLOCK IT!* 7) Just to be safe, reload the ISO you just MODIFIED and click 'READ INFOS' and 'ANALYZE RISK'.

This time, it should say that it is safe because the update is the same region as your Wii. 7.5) Some of you may need to RegionFrii it. Sorry to all that I did not really explain what exactly went wrong when the screen goes blank/black. Most of the users that experience this problem was due the the fact that they did not update their Wii through some games that has 3.1J_V2 or 3.1U_V2. One of the most popular game that has this update was SSBB.

As most of the people here played SSBB therefore most of them has the update installed and does not have any problems with Mario Kart Wii. Solution 1 If you played SSBB before, then you should have no problems playing Mario Kart Wii. If you have SSBB of your region, let it update and Mario Kart Wii should work fine. Solution 2 Download JUST the dump of the update and replace it with WuM. See first post for more details.
