I have just bought a Vodafone Pay as you go USB modem stick online direct from Vodafone. After installing the software I was faced with “RAS error code 619” this was because the preloaded software was out of date. As a result of searching these forums I found the solution and downloaded the latest full version of the software.

All is now working well – thank you. What I would like to do is update the software on the stick. The files are read only and I have been unable to change the file attributes in order to replace them.

Does anyone now how to update the preloaded software on these sticks? (I know I could add a memory card to the stick to carry the updated software but I would prefer not to do that). Hi rorun, It is sometimes possible to update a modem's version of VMC Lite without upgrading the firmware, but quite often these two updates go hand-in-hand and one will not work without the other. At present there are no newer versions of VMC Lite, and we cannot give any timescales on when this is likely to change.
